IllusiVR

Illusivr is a little app I made to showcase some fun illusions that lend themselves well to being experienced in VR. More exhibits are planned, but at the moment the app allows the user to experience:

The Ganzfeld effect: a visual distortion that occurs when a person is presented with a uniform color field and white noise. After a time, the user will start to experience visual distortions such as blobs of color, shapes, and in some cases/ for some users, somewhat detailed figures.

Colors out of color space: By piping in different colors to each eye, the user can experience a blend of the two colors that is simultaneously neither color. Depending on your eye dominance/ specific neurology, you may see the two colors competing for the visual field, a color that looks like a blend of the two colors, or both colors at once.

Chimerical Colors: These colors are visible when a person stares at a fatigue image, and than rapidly shifts to a different background, allowing them to see colors that are as bright as white or as dark as black, while still appearing to have a hue. This effect is pretty easy to experience without a VR headset, I mainly included it because I think it's neat.

The app is also available as an APK to be side loaded on to Quest, as a separate entry. Both would have been over the maximum upload size for Itch.io
